Virtual Me

So EA and Endemol have teamed up to create Virtual Me - so what? Is this the face of TV to come? Click here to read more....
The idea is to produce a new 'game' which allows a player to create an avatar to take part in a reality show.

A 'reality' show in a 'virtual' world - how very post-modern...

How many of those snazzy NMT key terms can you link to 'Virtual Me'? - Convergence? Personalisation? Interactivity? Democratisation?

How will your avatar look when playing 'deal or no deal'??

Do you want to put your avatar in the diary room??

Do you spend more time online than watching the goggle box?

Comments on any or all of the above......c'mon people, have an opinion!!

I can say i prob sepnd more time on the internet... unfortunately i ma that sad. however i can't see how peopler going to wan't to pretend to bein bb, except me lol but thats cuz i one of the people mentle anough to want to do it. U never no that might be the next way they get there new housemates?
I can although see people playing deal or no deal interactively and over popular game shows as prehaps a multiplayer game or something, because of how pupular they are. ashley x

I think people will play it, I probably would if it was free, but I don't spend money oncomputer games. I just don't know WHY people like games like this! Computer games really seem to be moving towards more and more "personalisation", maybe because people have things they wish they could change about themselves, and you can make an avatar whatever you want it to be... But virtual "reality" games? I think this might be a step too far - but that won't stop people! Caitlin x
